It has probably become quite obvious to you that I have not been blogging very often. Due to computers crashing, SLOW internet connections, blog changes which result in HOURS upon HOURS to finish ONE new post, I have been missing in action. Now, my attempt to update the past few months of Macie's life. I am blessed by my friend Vickie, who created a calendar to list noteworthy events and developments, so I would not forget them for her scrapbooks and this blog.
At her 6 month checkup Macie weighed 15 pounds 8 ounces and was 25.5 inches long! That equates to 50th percentile in length, and 40th in length. She has more than made up for her petite birth weight!
Where do I begin on the advancements! 6 months brought a much more independent and sometimes fussy baby girl! We're convinced with the increased drooling and chewing that our sweet girl was finally getting teeth. However, we were wrong! With increased independence, there was increased frustration. Macie has begun to sit up supported, and spend much more time on her tummy, up on her knees, but not yet crawling. Putting her down for the night has always been easy, but lately she has begun to play in her crib, when she used to fall asleep before we even put her down. Macie loves books, during the day she turns the pages, and at night listens intently as Daddy reads to her. Her babbles continue and are more elaborate as they change in pitch and tone. The Da da das, sighs, and bah bah bahs range from high to low and she squeals and giggles more easily. As she sits in her bumbo, she enjoys dropping toys on the floor to watch Mommy and Daddy retrieve them. She especially enjoys playing with measuring cups and spoons while mommy cooks.
This month she enjoyed visits from cousin Kerry bear and had a blast shopping at the Coach Outlet and Tiffany and Company. She was such a trooper to shop till she dropped with Kerry and Mommy. Uncle Kevin and Tyler came to visit and what fun it was to giggle with Tyler while she danced and sang.
Our little girl is growing up and 6 months is an age that seemed so far away but was eagerly anticipated. I remember people saying that 6 months was the golden age and that was when it really gets fun. Well, we agree.
Here are some photos and videos of our sweet girl...Thanks for your patience with all of them! I finally got my act together to organize hundreds of photos and videos compiled from 3 cameras and my cell phone! Here are our favorites!
